The supernatural genre is vast and wide and has an incredible number of titles to its name. Even before the release of the third season, it had been acknowledged that Stranger Things had become the flagship series of Netflix. With an excellent ensemble of talented actors, an excellent story and fantastic score Stranger Things is one of the best series to date.

The Sixth Sense has arguably been the career-defining movie of director M. Night Shyamalan’s career, and it’s easy to see why. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including; Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Editing.

Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren are contacted by the Perron family after coming into contact with a strange malevolent spirit that haunts their Rhode Island home. After discovering the tragic and deadly past of the house, the lives of the Perron family are in danger and the Warren’s must put their own lives on the line to stop the wicked spirit.

One of the unsung heroes of horror, Candyman is a classic supernatural-slasher film. The slasher franchise had begun to loosen its grip on the horror box office at the start of the 90s, which isn’t surprising thanks to an over-inflated amount of slasher titles throughout the 80s. Candyman brought back some well-needed originality and is easily one of the most fascinating horrors of the decade.
The Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster’s myth.

Sheltered by her overbearing and domineering religious mother, Carrie has always been an outcast. The shy, and softspoken girl begins to develop powers that of which she struggles to control. When her bullying schoolmates humiliate her on the night of her prom, those powers are unleashed as they feel the fury of Carrie’s vengeance.
