Penny Dreadful – Picture: Desert Wolf Productions, Neal Street Productions, Showtime Networks The highly regarded Showtime series Penny Dreadful is set to depart Netflix in the US in full in September 2021.  Debuting back in 2014, the series is set back in 1891 and retells the classic tales of Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dorian Gray to name a few in the streets of Victorian London. The show went on to run for 3 seasons across 27 episodes and although the creator had planned it to end after 3 seasons, that doesn’t mean that fans didn’t campaign to the likes of Netflix to revive the show.

Pretty Little Liars – Warner Brothers Pretty Little Liars has departed Netflix for its eventual new home of HBO Max in 2020. Netflix gave advanced warning of the removal and here’s what you need to know.  The series which ran from 2010 to 2017 sees the story of a group of four friends banding together to go up against an anonymous foe who threatens their lifestyles with the revealing of a secret.

That Girl Lay Lay – Picture: Nickelodeon That Girl Lay Lay lit up the Netflix top 10s when the first season first debuted on Nickelodeon in late 2021 before touching down on Netflix globally in January 2022. Season 2 has been airing on Nickelodeon since July 2022 and will head to Netflix globally at the end of February 2023. Headed up by Alaya High, the Nick series was first commissioned in May 2021 with a single-season order of 12 episodes.

The Gray Man – Picture: Netflix After launching The Gray Man, its most expensive and ambitious feature film yet, Netflix and The Russo Brothers are coming back for more, with Ryan Gosling back as the elusive Sierra Six in a sequel coming soon. Frequent collaborators with Netflix, Joe and Anthony Russo, will return to direct the movie. Stephen McFeeley, who co-wrote the first movie from the Mark Greaney novel with his Avengers scripting partner Christopher Markus, is back and penning the script.

The Idhun Chronicles – Picture: Netflix The Spanish anime series The Idhun Chronicles (or Memorias de Idhún as it’s known in Spanish regions) will not be returning for season 3 or part 3 as it’s named on Netflix, according to the creator of the series, Laura Gallego.
