Coming to Netflix in September 2022, we’ll be keeping track of everything you’ll need to know about Drifting Home, including the plot, cast reveals, trailers, and most importantly the Netflix release date.  Drifting Home is an upcoming Netflix Original Japanese anime movie directed by Hiroyasu Ishida, written by Hayashi Mori.

Kung Fu Space Punch concept art Netflix Animation has had a few rough weeks as projects in development have been culled. We’ve seen over half a dozen animation projects canned and another we can now add to the list is Kung-Fu Space Punch which comes from Maya and the Three creator, Jorge R. Gutierrez. First announced all the way back at Annecy Festival in 2017, Kung Fu Space Punch was originally envisioned as an animated movie that was described as a “colorful animated sci-fi extravaganza”.

The Kill Team – Picture: A24 Happy Friday! Welcome back to our what’s new on Netflix column, where we dig into all the new releases. This week, we’ve been a bit lax with our roundups, so get ready for a big one. We’ve got 36 new titles to cover, and we’ll also see what’s topping the Netflix charts. Three new titles are scheduled to arrive over the weekend, including Castaway Diva on Saturday (October 28), and the reality series Botched drops for the first time on Sunday alongside the Korean mystery thriller series Hometown.

Scream – Picture. Dimension Television Scream, MTV’s slasher horror series, has been available to stream on Netflix in most regions for almost seven years. After a long and disappointing wait for the third season, fans of the show will soon be saying goodbye to the show instead of receiving the new season when it leaves Netflix internationally in July 2022. Scream is an American slasher-horror anthology show created by Jill Blotevogel, Dan Dworkin, and Jay Beattie for MTV and Brett Matthews for VH1, and is based on the Scream horror movie franchise by Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven.

Burn Out is leaving Netflix – Picture: Netflix Another month is just around the corner, and at least three Netflix Original series and movies are set to be departing the service. Here’s a breakdown of what we currently know is set to leave.  Just for a bit of housekeeping on a few other titles before we dive in. Champions (Season 1) is leaving Netflix US in March 2024 but won’t internationally, where the show is labeled a Netflix Original.

Picture: CBS Another hit CBS series is heading to Netflix. Following the recent licensing pickups of Evil and Young Sheldon on Netflix in the United States, the drama series Fire Country will join Netflix’s vast library of over 6,000 titles on August 1st, 2024.  Just one season (22 episodes) is expected to land on Netflix on August 1st, with the second season only premiering earlier this year. As you may have heard, the CBS series has also been handed a season 3 renewal, with that expected to premiere in the back half of this year or early 2025.

Picture: Netflix Netflix was starting 2024 off strong with the news that the streaming service US will pick up multiple seasons of the Starz Original series Black Sails from January 1st, 2024. However, it didn’t arrive with our understanding that the series would instead arrive later in 2024. We can now confirm that all four seasons of the series are scheduled to arrive on Netflix in April 2024. From executive producer Michael Bay, Black Sails is the historical drama series that serves as a prequel set 20 years prior to the beloved 1883 novel Treasure Island.

Here’s what we know as of June 2024, with the news of the three new cast members. The Seven Dials of Mystery is the first-ever series to go into production with executive producer Suzanne Mackie’s Orchid Pictures.

All four current seasons of Raising Hope will be leaving Netflix over the next couple of months as the FOX contract with Netflix comes to a close but we have news below on where it’s moving to and a saving grace as well.  The FOX comedy which stars Lucas Neff, Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt and Shannon Woodward depicts a family having to raise a child after the mother has been sentenced to death.
